1) When's that baby coming?
Ahh, if only I knew. Unfortunately, there's no package tracking code that tells me the arrival date. The estimated date is March 5th, which is a long week and a half away.
2) Have you been having contractions?
Yes. Did you know that Braxton Hicks contractions can actually be regular and more than just a flutter? We had a false alarm a few weeks ago, and I go through periods of having contractions that are only a few minutes apart, but they aren't intense enough to make me think it's the real deal. I found out a week and a half ago that I am already dilated 5 cm. I didn't know that you can walk around for weeks being halfway to the pushing stage. Kurt's a little worried about having the baby in the car, but I figure it would make for a great blog entry...
3) Are you ready?
yes.
4) How do you feel?
fine*
*code for I'll spare you the details of how I'm really feeling.

5) Is Joshua excited?
I'm pretty sure that he doesn't get it. However, I think he will make a great big brother. He loves other babies and our friend Baby Abe. He loves being a helper too. I'm sure it will be a huge adjustment, but I hope and pray it will be fun for him!
So, we continue to wait. The doctor is willing to induce, but I'd rather not induce unless medically necessary. I may change my mind though...

Hang in there momma!
haha! I'm laughing because people love to ask "how are you feeling?" while you are pregnant. I have convinced myself that I will never ask that question again to another pregnant woman. Why? Well, the alternative question I'll go with which is "how are you doing?" implies that you want to hear more about the person's life than just how pregnancy is making them feel. It opens the door for a prego mama to share about other things that are actually going on in her life whether that includes pregnancy or not.
The other top question I've been getting a lot lately is "have you had any cravings?" Hmmm, how do I answer that? I've always had cravings since I can remember and they have not changed due to pregnancy...cheeseburgers, pizza, mexican, pancakes, etc.
Another thing I hear quite a bit though it's not a question is that this is going to change my life...as if I had no clue.
So, I guess I'll gear up more for some of these other questions you mention.
Anyway, how are things going?
Ahhh... you're SO close. I'm so excited for you guys! Yes, I also didn't know that Braxton Hicks could be JUST like regular contractions and had a few close calls with Kate. Anyway, I can't wait to hear about your new little boy. Glad you're feeling *fine*.
